Zotec Partners Announces New Vice President of Information Security
Top Industry Talent Makes Data Integrity and Risk Strategy a First Priority
INDIANAPOLIS (December 9, 2015) – Zotec Partners (Zotec), an industry leader in physician billing and practice management services, is pleased to announce it has hired Ron Duplessis as Vice President of Information Security. In his new role, Mr. Duplessis will oversee Zotec’s cyber security and information technology risk strategy while ensuring the company is protected from information security threats.
Mr. Duplessis joins Zotec with management experience in enterprise information security at strategic and tactical levels, holding a previous position with MISO (Midcontinent ISO, Inc.) as the manager of cyber security. He graduated from Howard University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems Analysis and Design, and also earned Master’s Degrees in Telecommunications and Business Administration with an IT Management focus from George Mason University and California State University, respectively.
“Data related to health care is attractive and lucrative for cybercriminals, and as we have seen, this industry is often the target of cyber attacks and security breaches,” states Ron Duplessis. “Since so many organizations rely on electronic systems for mission-critical functions, securing a company’s cyber infrastructure and data involves measured planning, technical expertise, and business knowledge. In my new role, Zotec’s information security and data protection will be a number one priority in supporting the company’s mission.”
Zotec’s Founder and CEO, T. Scott Law says of health care security, “The health care sector must remain especially diligent against vulnerabilities that threaten the integrity of private data, while also avoiding negligent risks that lead to security hacks, breaches and penalties.” He continues, “Ron brings to Zotec the business and security acumen needed to identify and mitigate these security risks. In his new role, Ron will apply comprehensive information security strategies across Zotec’s entire business infrastructure.”
