Thinking Differently at the HFMA Annual Conference 2019
On June 23-26, Zotec Partners will be in Orlando for the 2019 HFMA Annual Conference, and we’re looking forward to seeing our industry partners and peers. The conference gives us all a chance to glean valuable insights that help improve our approach to how we are changing healthcare finance for the better. In turn, we want to share our technology innovations that are helping healthcare organizations improve their business! We’ll be at booth # 724, so please stop by and share your insights with us and take a technology demo to learn how we’re challenging everyone in the industry to think differently about the healthcare financial experience.
Reinventing American Healthcare with a Focus on Innovations
On the topic of innovation, Susan Dentzer, a leading health care and policy expert and visiting Fellow at Duke-Margolis Center for Health Policy, will deliver a keynote session on Tuesday that focuses on ways that our industry can reinvent U.S. healthcare. Susan is one of the nation’s most respected health policy experts and thought leaders. Based in Washington, DC, she works on a range of health policy issues including health system transformation and innovation.
The Zotec team is excited about this session, mainly because innovation is in our DNA. Besides aligning with our efforts to engage in public advocacy at local, state, and federal levels to protect and promote the interests of the healthcare community, we also strive to develop technology innovations that help providers and their patients navigate the financial aspects of their medical encounters. We realize the greatest impact today is the big shift from business-to-business healthcare to business-to-consumer healthcare, and the increasing prevalence of HDHPs has had a material impact on the revenue cycle process, as these plans characterize a major shift in the responsibility to pay. For the first time ever, the average deductible is higher than the average costs, which means your patient consumers are accountable for their own healthcare dollar. The average spend is around $1100 and the average deductible is about $1200.
That’s why we’ve developed a revolutionary patient experience methodology, with multiple options and ways to collect directly from patients, and in turn, increase patient satisfaction.
At booth # 724, we’ll be offering consultations and demonstrating technologies including our patient portal for scheduling and time of service that helps staff collect for payment at the front end. It’s agnostic to all EHR systems, allowing users to receive patient information, verify insurance information, generate a patient’s propensity to pay score, obtain prior authorization, determine amount of patient responsibility, conduct an eligibility check, undergo the payment process, and check out! We’ll also showcase our mobile MyDocBill patient portal, which lets patients obtain information about their bills and multiple ways to pay.
Ultimately, it’s our mission to let doctors be doctors. By helping healthcare organizations manage their cash flow and keep their patient data secure, we give them the freedom to continue practicing medicine, improving health, and saving lives. If this is something that interests your organization, please schedule your consultation today, or stop by booth # 724.
